System: The
“Rolling
Sample” Calculation Method.
From 9 April 2010 the method used
to calculate your Australian Men’s or Women’s
Handicap can be explained in one sentence:
Your
exact handicap will be
the average of the best 10 differentials
(differential = gross score – AMCR/AWCR) of your 20 most
recent valid scores, the result of which is multiplied by 0.96.

Brisbane
Golf Club
have upgraded to the latest version of Infotel version for all of their
business operations. The
Brisbane Golf Club have been
loyal users of the Infotel software since 1995.

The
Tropical
North Queensland TAFE Hospitality and Tourism Faculty
in Cairns has recently upgraded to the latest Infotel version with the
new Touch Screen Point of Sale system operating in the Queenslander and
Tropics training restaurants as well as the Coffee Shop. The system
will also be used by students as part of their training courses. The
TNQ TAFE College as well as other Queensland TAFE Colleges have been
loyal users of the Infotel software for over 18 years.

2008
The
Colonial Golf Course on
the Gold Coast has upgraded to the latest Infotel version, with the
Accounting modules live since July 2008. The new Point of Sale system
utilising the Senor Touch screens are also live at The Colonial Golf
Course. Internet bookings for members of both courses went live in
December. The Robina Woods Golf Course will soon be integrated with the
new version. Both courses are owned by Playmore Golf Pty Ltd and have
been loyal users of the Infotel software for many years.

A new Member's Draw
facility with the Winner's name and prize displayed on the in-house
Television monitor has been released as part of the Infotel Membership
system. Only financial member numbers are included in the random draw
so the number drawn and hence the member displayed is eligible for the
prize. This system has been installed at Headland Golf Club and
replaces their old number only display that could require several draws
before a financial member number was displayed. The new system
eliminates this process and with the winner's name being displayed in
very large letters on the monitor it has been well received by the
Members.
Liverpool
Golf
Club in Sydney
upgraded to the latest Infotel version in April 2008 with all modules
live within 2 days. This included converting to the Touch Screen Point
of Sale system and new Touch Screens for the Member kiosks. Internet
bookings utilising the GolfAnytime system which integrates with the
Infotel Golf Management system running in-house was a new addition and
has been well utilised by the Members since it's introduction.

Conference 2007
Infopower were proud sponsors of the Golf
Management Australia Conference 2007
recently held at the Radisson Resort Gold Coast on 22-28 July 2007. Our
Infotel
Golf Club Management software
was on display at our Trade Exhibition booth on the Monday afternoon
and was very well attended by a large number of conference delegates.
It was good to see many of our existing clients as well as some other
Club Managers expressing keen interest in our products.

Infotel's
Payroll module has just
been released as part of the web based software package, replacing the
text based version used by many of our clients. This new version is
currently running live at the first site and will be quickly rolled out
to other clients commencing August.

Version 2.0 of the Infotel
Visage software has just been
released. A more distintive user
interface is one of the features of this upgrade to the web based
version of the Infotel software.

Gordon
Golf Club in Sydney has
installed the complete Infotel
Golf Club Management software. The Golf, Membership and Accounting
modules were operational very quickly after their installation in
December 2006. The new fast Touch Screen Point of Sale was available
shortly afterwards. Internet Golf Bookings has now been added to
further enhance their Member services.

at Mt. Ommaney in Brisbane has added the Internet Golf Booking system
to their existing suite of Infotel
Golf Club Management modules.

Gosford
Golf Club at Gosford just
north of Sydney installed the new web based version of Infotel
including the Touch Screen Member Access facility and all Golf related
functions in December 2005. The back office Accounting modules have now
been live since July 2006 and the Touch Screen Point of Sale system and
Inventory Control will be operational later in 2006.
